1 Sixty Daycare
This project is about woman and children in the city. The desgin and proccess thinking comes from the idea of making the city fabric more softer and safer for the intended user inteface. The project is supposed to provide safer and more collaborative work environments especially for single mothers and and all other working women in the working class to be more engaged in their places of work while reducing the burden of other life related and domestic responsibilities.
The project explores with wire mesh as a tool and material to create soft, free flow and permeable spaces to create awareness as well as provide for a new facinating stratagy to think about saftey in regards to the way we design our buildings today. This intervention is meant to spark a new way of thinking in terms of encorporating and balancing parent hood and work related responsibilites in order to produce more healthier household dynamics which can lead to more productive work environments in the eceonomy of South African cities.
