The building has evolved from a single story to a two-story and three-story structure, with a clock tower that once connected the community. Despite ongoing debates about refurbishment or demolition, the post office was declared a monument.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project involves collaging the area, identifying main streets, local vendors, and experiences, and identifying heritage regulations for alterations. Recordings using techniques like frottage, castings, and scanning are used to establish composites, each examining different aspects of the post office\u2019s decay. Heritage regulations allow only a portion of the facade to be altered, allowing for reinforcing and placement of new spaces.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An all-access communication hub is proposed within the post office shell, removing only parts and pieces of the facade. Ground floor corridors between Rissik Street and Oppenheimer Park will provide access to the post office and opportunities for economic empowerment. The proposed communication hub aims to revitalize the post office by transforming it into a versatile space that meets the needs of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By preserving a portion of the facade, the project respects the building&#8217;s historical significance while also allowing for necessary renovations and additions. Additionally, the ground floor corridors connecting Rissik Street and Oppenheimer Park not only provide convenient access to the post office but also create opportunities for local businesses and
