Crisis in our urban conditions has resulted in a plethora of radical and inventive infrastructures. These infrastructure, that are hard, soft, permanent and temporary provide sophisticated new formularies of how we construct architectures that support livelihoods in a state of crisis and urgency. Through examples of these Insurgent Architectures, the talk will shed a perspective on how we acknowledge and embrace these new architectures and their practices to usher in a more radical means of intervening through design for uncertainty and vulnerability.
